Windsurfing

Windsurfing, as a sport and recreational activity, did not emerge until the later half of the 20th century. But before this, there have been sailing boats of various designs that have used wind as the driving force for millennia, and our neighbours, the Polynesians have been riding waves for many of them, undertaking day trips over oceans standing upright on a solid board with a vertical sail. Therefore, crediting a single person with the invention of windsurfing would be presumptuous.

Why windsurfing with us?

First: Windsurfers need wind and water. Only expert surfers like high waves. Beginners and intermediate prefer a good wind with a moderate swell. And exactly these perfect conditions you find on Bulabog Beach. The reef that delimits the Bulabog lagoon, breaks the waves from the sea, but the wind still keeps blowing.
The reef of the Bulabog Lagoon has passages where experts and freaks can surf out into the rough sea and jump as much and as high they can.

Second: The Funboard Center Boracay is a windsurf school and shop. Nothing less and nothing more. While other windsurf spots have also a resort and a restaurant and a discotheque and a spa, we concentrate on windsurfing (period!). We are windsurfers by passion and not restaurant waiters who also know to surf a bit. And we always have the newest windsurf equipment available. So you can test and compare.
